Lenovo unveiled a new ThinkPad family member called the Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 1. This is the company’s first 16 – inch business laptop in the ThinkPad T series.
The ThinkPad T16 Gen 1 replaces Lenovo’s previous ThinkPad T15 lineup with larger screen business laptops. Compared to previous 2021 ThinkPads, the ThinkPad T16 comes with a new design language with its debut.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T16 comes with a 16-inch IPS LCD panel with a modern aspect ratio of 16:10. . The 16-inch display can be configured up to one. 2.5K resolution, 500 nitz peak brightness, 100% coverage of sRGB color space and optional touchscreen support.
The ThinkPad T16 is powered by Intel’s latest 12th Gen Alder mobile CPUs or AMD’s latest Ryzen 6000 Pro series CPUs. For the Intel model, costumers can configure their devices to be equipped with U-Series or P-Series of Intel 12th Gen processors, up to 48GB of DDR4 RAM, 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage and up to an Intel Core i7. An optional Nvidia dedicated graphics card, which is either the MX550 or the RTX 2050 mobile GPU.
For the AMD model, costumers can set up their ThinkPad T16 with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 6400MHz RAM, 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage and the Ryzen 7 PRO 6000 Series CPU onboard.
On the front of the battery, the laptop is available in either 52.5Wh or 86Wh options, and the box for the laptop also includes a fast charging adapter. The laptop can be charged up to 135W if buyers opt for the higher 86Wh Intel configuration.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T16 comes with WiFi 6E module onboard, Bluetooth 5.2 and optional LTE support for business users who are always on the go. The ThinkPad T16 comes with 2 USB-C ports, 2 USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI 2.0b port, an RJ45 port, a 3.5mm headphone jack and an optional SIM card slot for those who choose. For the LTE model.
The USB-C ports on the Intel model will be certified in accordance with Thunderbolt 4, while USB-C ports on the AMD model will be certified in accordance with USB-C 3.2 Gen 2.
