Back in last year, we witnessed lots of foldable devices and that was limited in the smartphone industry now the setup has been expanded into the larger sector. As the very popular name in the PC sector, Lenovo unveils the foldable PC and that is dubbed as Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold foldable PC.
The all new ThinkPad X1 Fold features multiple modes and that can be a fully flat 13.3-inch display with pOLED panel. The device is co-engineered with Intel and utilizes Core processors as well as Windows 10 operating system. The device also has an option for Windows 10X by later this year. The laptop is also coming with the capability of 5G connectivity as well.
It is also said that the device ability of switching software for Windows 10 to handle multiple use cases. It also has a Bluetooth Mini Fold Keyboard as well as a leather case. When the device is folded, the keyboard is stored and wirelessly charged inside the unit and the same will be safe with magnets.
The device also has a full-size keyboard, mouse, and second display which can be connected through the USB Type-C. The new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold also can be used in portrait as well as landscape mode.
Speaking about the pricing and availability, the laptop’s pricing will start at $2,499, and the same is expected to available by later this year.
The company has also launched the world’s first 5G PC and the device is dubbed as Lenovo Yoga 5G. It is an ultra-portable and can turn it into a tablet-like any other Yoga device. The device features a 14 inch full HD display and it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx processor and becomes the first laptop to be powered by this processor and it also includes built-in 5G support which will enable the superfast Internet for the users. Moreover, the company says that it will offer 24 hours of battery life and the device comes with Adreno 680 GPU along with front-facing stereo speakers backed by Dolby Atoms. Talking about the pricing and availability the device will available by the first quarter of this year and the pricing starts at $1,499.
Along with the ThinkPad X1 Fold and Yoga 5G, the Chinese electronics giant has also unveiled a couple of laptops and that includes Chromebook and gaming notebooks.
The latest Lenovo IdeaPad Duet Chromebook features a 2-in-1 form-factor and that will allow users to get a tablet-like experience along with a detachable keyboard cover. The device sports a 10.1-inch display with 1920×1200 pixels resolution along with 400 nits brightness and a built-in 13-degree hinge. The company has unveiled it with an optional USI stylus which will allow you to write notes and figure drawing.
The device also has the plug-and-play keyboard cover which also has a full trackpad and chiclet-style keys. Moreover, it also has the support for the eight years of auto-updates which means you will receive the new version of Chrome OS seamlessly until June 2028. It also has the Microsoft Office Suite compatibility, along with built-in virus protection. The device is also coming with the Google Assistant support, and access to Google Play. Regarding the pricing and availability, it will available in the US starting May with an initial price of $279.99.
That’s not all, the company has also announced the IdeaPad Flex 5 Chromebook and it sports a 13-inch full-HD IPS touchscreen panel with up to 300 nits brightness. It is also coming with stylus support that enables various opportunities to a user as a digital pen.
It is powered by up to 10th generation Intel Core i5 processor with up to 128GB PCIe SSD storage and 8GB of DDR4 RAM. The Chromebook also features a front-facing dual stereo speakers and comes with the latest Wi-Fi 6. Furthermore, the device also has a 720p camera, along with spill resistant backlit keyboard, and up to 10 hours of battery life on a single charge. Talking about the pricing and availability, it will be available in the US in late June with a starting price of $359.
Along with the Chromebooks, the company has unveiled the new Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 and the same is coming with two display size variants — 14-inch and 15.6-inch. Both the variants runs on Windows 10 and loaded with in-house Q-Control Intelligent Cooling feature.
It also features the Lenovo Smart Assistant which will bring attention-sensing Glance by Mirametrix, along with a Smart Player which will automatically pause audio or video playback when the user steps away, and a Smart Display feature which will recognizes when the user is looking away.
The 14-inch variant will be available with up to AMD Ryzen 4000 Series mobile processor along with Radeon graphics or with up to 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris Plus graphics and the option to pick the latest GeForce MX graphics. This variant will also have a full-HD and 4K HDR versions along with an optional glass display.
Coming to the 15.6-inch variant, it has up to Nvidia GeForce GTX graphics and full-HD optional glass display. It also supports up to 13 hours of battery life on a single charge and supports Rapid Charge fast charging technology. Furthermore, it also features Dolby Atmos sound and Amazon Alexa support.
It is priced at $1,209.99 for the 14-inch Intel-based variant, while the AMD-powered model starts at $849.99, while the 15.6-inch variant with Intel processor starting price tag of $1,209.99. All models will go on sale in the US from April.
The company has also unveiled the Legion Y740S and its a gaming notebook and families up to eight hours of battery life. The notebook is powered by up to 10th generation Intel Core i9 processors. The Lenovo Legion Y740S comes with a Lenovo Q-Control which will allow users to shift gears with a press of Fn+Q keys. The device also has Performance Mode, Quiet Mode, and Balance Mode and all of these are meant to optimize the experience. It has a keyboard with a 100 percent anti-ghosting, and fingerprint scanner which is embedded into the power button.
It features a 15.6-inch 4K display with 100 percent sRGB colour gamut, along with 600 nits VESA-certified experience. The device also has Dolby Vision support. Furthermore, it comes with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and 1TB PCIe SSD and features a 180-degree hinge design. The device also features a backlit keyboard, Dolby Atmos speaker system, and Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.
Lenovo has also unveiled the Legion Y740 Laptop Studio Edition which is coming with Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics cards and Studio Drivers to meet the requirements of enthusiasts gamers as well as creators. The pricing starts at $1,099.99, while the Lenovo Legion BoostStation eGPU starts at $249.99. Both will be available in the US starting May.
