From sometime we are hearing about Lenovo Z5 and the Chinese electronics brand Lenovo was teasing the device very heavily, the company said that the device will be the real bezel-less design and it will come with 4 TB of storage. Well, as we updated earlier, today the company has officially unveiled the device. But we are sorry to say that all your dream were crushed, as the information which was in the teasers were incorrect. So, let’s check out what’s the device in actual.
The Lenovo Z5 sports 6.2 inch Full HD+ display with 2.5D curved glass atop along with 19:9 aspect ratio and the notch is on the top of the display, it has 2246 x 1080 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 636 processor and the device is paired with 6 GB RAM along with Adreno 509 GPU for the graphical task.
In terms of storage, the device is coming with two variants 64/128 GB of internal storage, the device was teased to have 4 TB of storage, you can also expand the storage via microSD card.
Moving camera department, the device is coming with dual camera setup at the back with the combination of 16 megapixel + 8 megapixel and the camera setup is placed in the top-left corner of the device in the vertical orientation. Moreover, the device also features an 8 megapixel front facing camera with AI beauty mode to give enhanced selfies.
Talking about the connectivity, the device supports 4G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, and GPS. For security option, it supports fingerprint scanner. The device runs on Android Oreo 8.1 which is based on ZUI 3.9 and the device ships on 3,300 mAh battery to keep the lights on.
Speaking about the pricing and availability details, the 64 GB variant of the device is priced at ¥1299 (approx. ₹13,630), and the 128 GB variant of the device has the price tag of ¥1799 (approx. ₹18,880). The device will be available in China from June 12 but there is no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the world.
Personally speaking, making hype for a new device is not a good strategy, in fact, these kinds of false hypes create a negative impact on a brand as well as the product. Lenovo’s new device is just a smartphone with the features which we see on any modern smartphone. I’m really disappointed with the company, as they made everyone fool. I hope that the company will not repeat this kind of activities in future and I wish that other brands will not follow this kind of strategy.
