Along with the LG V40 ThinQ, the South Korean electronics brand LG and build its latest wearable, the new product is a Smartwatch and it is dubbed as LG Watch W7 and its the first Hybrid Smartwatch of the brand. The device also features the mechanical hands.
The all new LG Watch W7 sports a stainless steel body and it is also compatible with the standard 22mm watch bands. Moreover, the smartwatch is designed with a traditional analog timepiece along with the convenient functionalities of a connected smartwatch. Having said that, LG has joined its hand with Soprod SA of Switzerland for the high-precision quartz movement and physical watch hands.
It sports 1.2 inch display along with 360 x 360 pixels resolution, and the smartwatch is powered by 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 Platform and coupled with 768 RAM along with Adreno 304. It also supports 4 GB eMMC internal storage.
For connectivity, the LG Watch W7 supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. It is also protected with water and dust resistant IP68 certified. It runs on Wear OS by Google and that can be upgradeable to the Android Wear platform. Finally, the smartwatch is backed on 240 mAh battery, and the company claims two days of battery life on a single charge and an additional 3-4 days in analog-only mode. Furthermore, with the mechanical watch-only mode, it will give 100 days of battery life or 3 months on a single charge.
Speaking about the pricing and availability, the pricing starts at $450 (approx. ₹33,203) and it will be available from 14th October 2018 in the USA.
