The popular mobile chipset maker MediaTek has officially launched its latest mobile processors dubbed the Dimensity 7400 and Dimensity 7400X. Both the new Dimensity 7400 and Dimensity 7400X chipsets are built on TSMC’s 4nm process, and they feature an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 cores clocked at 2.6GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz. The latest chipsets feature Mali-G615 MC2 GPU for the graphical task.
The chipsets support LPDDR5 and LPDDR4X, with speeds of up to 6400Mbps along with UFS 3.1 and UFS 2.2 storage. The connectivity options include 5G with 3CC carrier aggregation, a peak downlink speed of 3.27Gbps, and Wi-Fi 6E with a 2T2R antenna configuration. Bluetooth 5.4.
Both chips are integrated with the Imagiq 950 ISP, supporting up to 200-megapixel cameras and 4K HDR video recording at 30fps. They come feature like AI-driven autofocus, video EIS, and hardware-based face detection. The chipsets offer MiraVision 955 display engine with support for WFHD+ at 120Hz and Full HD+ at 144Hz.
MediaTek has unveiled the chips with the AI processing unit to APU 655 which offers a 15 percent improvement over its predecessor. The Dimensity 7400 series also features the UltraSave 3.0+ power-saving technology and supports Google Ultra HDR.
