Meta started to offer the support of NFTs for the very popular social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram and now the company has officially announced that it has taken a decision to stop the support and the decision comes less than a year after offering the same.
There is no particular reason is announced behind the decision at this moment. But it is said the company would focus on monetization opportunities for Reels and messaging payments across Meta.
It is worth mentioning that NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, are unique digital assets and the same is powered by the blockchain technology. It is used to verify ownership and authenticity.
