After Twitter, Meta officially announced its paid service called the Meta Verified last month and it offers the prestigious verification badge for a price tag along with some additional benefits. The service was introduced in New Zealand and Australia but the service was expanded to the United States a couple of days ago.
Now it seems that the Meta Verified service is going to be launched in India as the pricing information of the service for the market of India appears online.
It is reported that the Meta Verified service will be available with a price tag of Rs. 1,450 per month on mobile while desktop users will reportedly cost Rs. 1,099.
Along with a blue tick, the service will also offer an extra layer of protection by reducing the chances of impersonating accounts and you will be authenticated via a government-approved ID.
It will also provide direct and prompt customer support and the service will also offer increased reach. It is worth mentioning that the Meta Verified is only applicable to personal profiles and the individual must have 18 years of age.
The service is currently in the beta stages and the company is asking the interested users to join a waitlist for the Meta Verified subscription.
