Motorola is expected to launch its new Moto X40 smartphone globally in the name of Moto Edge 40 and the device will also have a big brother called the Moto Edge 40 Pro. The upcoming devices are expected to be announced in the near future and the now the complete specification details of both devices appear online. The upcoming Moto Edge 40 40 Pro is reportedly to arrive with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor along with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
It is expected to feature a 6.67-inch endless-edge display along with a curved panel and minimal bezels. It will also offer Full HD+ pOLED display along with HDR10+, Dolby Vision, support for DCI-P3 colour gamut, 1300 nits of peak brightness, among others. It is also reported to feature a 165Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate.
It is also said that the frame of the device is made of aluminium, while the front and the back panel of the device is having a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It is also coming with an iP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
The device is reported to house a 4600mAh battery along with 125W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging as well as 5W reverse wireless charging.
It is expected that the device will feature a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.8 aperture. Followed by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 12MP portrait lens (with 2x optical zoom). The device is also expected to feature a 60MP front camera. The upcoming Moto Edge 40 Pro smartphone will be running on Android 13 out of the box.
On the other hand, the upcoming Moto Edge 40 5G will be coming with the power of an unannounced MediaTek Dimensity 8020 mobile processor along with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device is expected to house a 4400mAh battery with 68W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.
The device is reported to offer a 6.55-inch Full HD+ pOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ and 1200 nits of peak brightness.
It is also believed that the device will be coming with a 50MP f/1.5 primary sensor with OIS support and a 13MP ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view. The device is also coming with a 32MP front camera.
