After sharing a teaser of the Moto Edge 70 in India, now the launch date of the device is officially confirmed. It will be available through Flipkart and the shopping website has created a dedicated page that reveals the important specifications. So let’s get into the article to check out the details.
It is officially announced that Motorola will be launching the upcoming Moto Edge 70 smartphone in India on December 15. The device is also confirmed to be introduced with a 5.99mm ultra-thin design and weighs 159g.
The device will feature an aircraft-grade aluminium frame and a textured back panel. The device will be introduced in three Pantone-curated colours including Lily Pad, Gadget Grey, and Bronze Green.
It is also revealed that the device will be coming with IP68 and IP69 ratings, military-grade durability, Gorilla Glass 7i protection, and Smart Water Touch support. Motorola will be launching the device with a Pantone-validated 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultrawide lens with Macro Vision on the back and it will house a 50MP Quad Pixel selfie camera. The device will also come with Moto AI camera features including AI Action Shot, AI Adaptive Stabilisation, AI Group Shot, and AI Signature Style. The device will be supporting 4K 60fps video recording from all lenses.
The upcoming Motorola phone will also come with a Vapour Cooling Chamber for thermal management and the device will come with the power of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 mobile processor. It is worth mentioning that the device will be India’s first ultra-thin phone powered by this processor.
It will also come with a 6.7-inch Extreme AMOLED 1.5K display with a peak brightness of 4500 nits and the device will also come with Dolby Atmos support. The device will house a 5000mAh battery which is slightly bigger than the Global variant, which came with a 4,800 mAh battery.
The Motorola phone will also come with 68W fast charging and 15W wireless charging. It will also support Multi-platform AI support including Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, and Moto AI. Additional AI functions listed include AI Image Studio, AI Playlist Studio, and Moto AI Assist.
Motorola will be launching the device with Google Photos AI features, including Circle to Search, Magic Eraser, and Magic Editor. The device will also support Smart Connect 3.0 that enables phone mirroring on a PC, app continuity across devices, and content casting to a TV. The device is also confirmed to run on Hello UI based on Android 16, along with 3 years of OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates.
