It is reported that Motorola is working on the upcoming Moto G 2026 series and the devices will be called the Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026. Today the complete details of both the devices appear online.
According to the latest information, the upcoming Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026 will be identical and both devices will feature flat displays with a centered hole-punch cutout to accommodate the front facing camera. The bezels are uneven, with a thicker bottom bezel. The devices will be coming with the power button and volume buttons on the right side while the SIM card tray sits on the left. At the bottom, both include a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Coming to the back, both the upcoming devices feature a raised camera module island along with eco leather. The upcoming Moto G 2026 will be available in PANTONE Cattleya Orchid, while the Moto G Play 2026 comes in PANTONE Tapestry.
The upcoming Moto G 2026 will be coming with a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate along with peak brightness reaches 1,000 nits and the device comes with the protection of Gorilla Glass 3.
It comes with a 50MP Quad Pixel main camera and a dedicated Macro Vision camera. The device will also feature a 32MP front camera. It will also support Quad Pixel technology. The device will be supporting camera features including Hyperlapse, Timelapse, Slow motion, Auto Smile Capture, Dual Capture, Night Vision, Portrait, Face Retouch, Gesture Selfie, and Photo Booth.
The phone is expected to come with the power of the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 mobile processor along with 4GB of RAM with a RAM Boost feature for virtual memory expansion and 128GB UFS 2.2 that can be expanded using a microSD card. The phone also comes with a 5,200mAh capacity with 30W TurboPower charging.
It is reported to come with features such as Dolby Atmos support, Hi-Res Audio, a water-repellent build, and the device will be running on the Android 16 operating system out of the box along with AI features including Google Gemini and Circle to Search. It will also include Family Space, Moto Unplugged, Moto Secure, ThinkShield, and Face Unlock.
While the upcoming Moto G Play 2026 is reported to come with a 6.7-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1,000 nits peak brightness. The device will come with the protection of Gorilla Glass 3.
It will come with the power of the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor along with 4GB of RAM and RAM Boost support. It will also come with 64GB UFS 2.2 storage that expandable with a microSD card.
The device will feature a 32MP Quad Pixel sensor, while the front camera is 8MP. The phone supports the same camera features as the Moto G 2026. It will come with a 5,200mAh battery with slower 18W TurboPower charging. The device will come with features including stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, water repellency, and everything will be the same as the other variant.
