Moto G100 Unveiled With Quad Camera Setup

Along with the Moto G50, the Chinese electronics giant Lenovo’s sub-brand Motorola has introduced yet another smartphone in the Moto G series and that is Moto G100 and the device is coming with Snapdragon 870 processor which means it is the first Moto G series smartphone with the high-end snapdragon processor. It is actually the rebranded version of the Moto Edge S smartphone which was introduced in the market of China early this year.

Specifications of Moto G100

The latest smartphone of the company features a 6.7 inch full HD+ display with 2520 X 1080 pixels resolution along with a dual punch-hole setup at the top left corner of the screen. It is also coming with a 90Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+ rating. As I mentioned above, Motorola has introduced the smartphone with the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 mobile chipset, and the same is paired with upto 12GB of RAM. In terms of storage, the device is coming with 128 GB and 256 GB of internal storage.

Speaking about the camera department, the latest Motorola G100 features four sensors and that is in the combination of a 64 megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture as well as 8k video capture capability along with 16 megapixel Ultra wide sensor, 2 megapixel fixed focus depth sensor, and ToF sensor. The smartphone is also coming with dual front facing camera and that is in the combination of a 16 megapixel primary sensor along with an 8-megapixel ultra wide sensor. The device is also coming with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner along with a face unlock to provide an extra layer of protection.

Motorola also features its own digital assistant called moto AI and the device is also coming with a desktop mode, object recognition, and a split-screen feature.

Regarding the connectivity options, the smartphone supports 5G, audio jack, USB-C port, dual SIM support, Bluetooth 5.1, and dual-frequency GPS. Motorola G100 has 5000mAh battery at 20W. It also has an IP52 rating. The latest smartphone boots on a new user interface called MY UI and the same is based on Android 11.

Pricing and availability

The smartphone costs 12,999 Pesos for the 8+128GB version in Mexico while in Brazil, it comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage for R$3,999.
