The surprises of Moto G5/G5 Plus are a new blue colour variant and built-in Google Assistant support on both the devices. So without wasting anymore time, let’s get started.
1. Moto G5:
This is the lower end variant amongst the both G5 variants. This Moto G5 is packed with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4Ghz . It sports a 5” 1080p IPS LCD Full HD Display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It has 2GB RAM and 16/32GB internal storage with expandable storage. It has 13MP Rear Camera with PDAF & f2.0 lens. For selfies it has a 5MP front facing camera with f2.2 lens. It has the fingerprint sensor support below the display. It is powered by a 2800 mAh battery with Moto’s Rapid Charge support. It will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
2. Moto G5 Plus:
This phone is the powerful variant amongst both the devices. This Moto G5 Plus runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa core processor clocked at 2.0Ghz . It sports a 5.2” Full HD 1080p IPS LCD Display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection on top. It has 2GB/4GB RAM & 32GB/64GB internal storage respectively with SD card slot. It has 12MP Dual Pixel Rear Camera with f1.7 lens, 4k recording, dual tone LED flash and an 5MP front facing camera with f2.2 lens. It has fingerprint sensor on the front with a design change compare to Moto G4 Plus. It houses a slightly more battery capacity of 3000 mAh compared to Moto G5’S 2800mah battery. It will also run on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
Both phones comes with splash proof design. Both phones will be available in Blue, Grey & Gold colour. Moto G5 is priced at $210 (₹14,000) and Moto G5 Plus will cost a slightly higher price of $229 (₹15,300). The sales will start from early March in regions like North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific and Europe as well.
