Nexus 5X, the not so successful successor of Nexus 5 had some trouble soon after it got into the hands of customers. There were reports of Nexus 5X devices getting stuck in boot loops in the support forums.
However, under the Project Fi’s Device Protection they are offering Moto X4 as a replacement of Nexus 5X which sounds a pretty good deal as compared to $100 Google Play Credit or $53 cash return which you would have got by paying $5 per month under the protection plan.
Although, in order to get Moto X4, you would still need to pay a $68 deductible which still remains a better deal. If you have a Nexus 5X and have the same issue, you can call Project Fi and see what they can do.
