It’s less than 10 days for the launch of Moto Z3 Play, and the leaks are in a complete rush. Just today we saw a set of rendered image, and now we have another leak. Back in March, the Moto Z3 Play was listed on FCC. Now today again we saw the device on Geekbench, but with a difference. So let’s have a look.
The first thing to notice here is the processor, previous FCC listing mentioned Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 processor, but this one mentions something different. This listing says that Moto Z3 Play will have Snapdragon 660 processor. This is slightly more powerful but features packed processor as compared to Snapdragon 636, and more expensive for OEMs also. So two different processors in two different listing are possible either for two reasons:
- There will be two different variants of the phone.
- There’s some error mistake in Geekbench or in FCC. (Error possibly more in Geekbench)
Moving to other listings, this Moto Z3 Play runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, with almost pure Android for sure. Also, the RAM mentioned here is 4GB. The single core score is 1299 whereas multi-core score is 4851. This is lower than other Snapdragon 660 powered phones, like Vivo X21 UD. So it’s possible that Geekbench has some errors.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. We will get to know whether this Moto Z3 Play will have Snapdragon 660 or Snapdragon 636 on 6th June. But now you guess the same. Which processor do you think this Moto Z3 Play will come with? Let us know in the comment section below. Also, stay tuned with us for more information.
