MSI has officially launched the latest MSI Claw 8 AI+ & Claw 7 AI+ gaming handhelds and the company has introduced the devices with Lunar Lake processors along with a 120Hz display and more. So let’s get into the article to check out the full details of both devices.
Everything about MSI Claw 8 AI+ & Claw 7 AI+
The latest MSI Claw 8 AI+ features an 8-inch Full HD+ touchscreen display with 1920×1200 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It also features 100% sRGB coverage, 500 nits brightness, and a Variable Refresh Rate (VRR). While the new MSI Claw 7 AI+ sports a 7-inch Full HD display with the same refresh rate as the bigger variant but this model features 1920×1080 pixels resolution.
Both devices have the power of the Intel Core Ultra 7-258V processor that features an 8-core/8-thread configuration. It also comes with 4 performance cores clocked at 4.8 GHz and 4 efficiency cores at 3.7 GHz. The devices also support the Intel Arc 140V GPU that will support AAA titles and it will optimize gaming performance as well. The devices feature 32GB LPDDR5X RAM clocked at 8533 MHz and up to 1TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD storage.
The MSI Claw 8 AI+ houses an 80Whr battery while the MSI Claw 7 AI+ is backed by a 54.5Whr battery. Talking about the connectivity options, the company offers dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7 (Claw 8 AI+) or Wi-Fi 6E (Claw 7 AI+), and Bluetooth 5.4 or 5.3, respectively.
Both devices come with multiple ergonomic and functional enhancements and the same will be offering precision and comfort. The company has also redesigned joysticks, bumpers, triggers, and a D-pad which will be enhancing usability and control. The triggers also come with Hall effect technology as well.
The devices also support MSI’s Cooler Boost HyperFlow system and the same integrates dual fans along with heat pipes to manage heat effectively. The devices run on Windows 11 Home out of the box. The devices also support dual 2W speakers with DTS sound effects. The devices also feature Copilot+ PC capabilities.
Regarding the pricing and availability, the MSI Claw 8 AI+ is priced at $899, while the Claw 7 AI+ starts at $799. Both devices will be available for purchase starting December 25.
