The popular on-demand content platform Netflix is very popular across the globe, and the company also launched its service in the market of India for some time now. The company is focusing on the Indian market very sharply and Netflix also introduced new plans for the users of India as well. Now we got a new piece of information which suggest that the company is working to launch mobile-only streaming plans for the users of India.
Netflix’s new mobile-only subscription plans will allow users to stream contents only on their mobile devices and these plans will be cheaper than its existing plans which starts at ₹500. Well, this will definitely encourage users to become a part of the streaming platform.
The company did not reveal the pricing of the mobile-only plans but it was charged ₹250 when it was on the testing stage. If you are unaware about this, then Netflix was testing the mobile-only streaming plans in different parts of the world for several months.
Separately, Netflix has released its Q2 report which shows that the company having good revenue but the paid subscriber growth is slowing down which is not a good news for the company, and maybe to compensate this, the company is trying to compensate with new plans like the mobile-only and we can also expect that the company will expand the same in other parts of the world including the United States.
So, this suggests we are going to witness yet another tariff war in the on-demand content segment. Right now, we don’t have any other information but we are looking for the same in the coming days.
