The excitement and anticipation for the Pixel 6 series is so high, right? Google is coming up with a new design for flagships, including Google’s first mobile chipset called the Google Tensor. CPU and GPU Details There are a lot of details about the recently revealed processor. New information has now come out, drawing a different picture of how powerful the chipset is.
XDA-developers were able to get the details of the Tensor chipset from an unknown source in the hands of a real Pixel 6 Pro. The source confirmed that the tensor processor has a 2 + 2 + 4 CPU core configuration. He also confirmed that the frequencies were correct.
Interesting bit of exact CPU components found in a system file, revealing a big difference in CPU cores from what was previously reported. The CPU cores are said to be 2x Arm Cortex-X1 cores clocked at 2.802GHz, 2x Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.53GHz, and 4x Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.80GHz. The earlier report had stated that it has the newer 2x Cortex-A78 cores!
The XDA developers report that the tensor chip uses Am’s older performance cores, but cross-checked data from other devices to confirm that the information received was not misinterpreted. It supports aptX, aptX HD Bluetooth audio codecs and Sony’s LDAC codec.
