OnePlus is getting growth in their software support time to time. They are one of the best OEM in terms of taking user feedback seriously. Recently with an Open Beta update to multiple OnePlus devices, they added a clipboard function for enhancing copy/paste functionality. But their were some false reports that OnePlus is leaking personal data of users to China. They stated that this is just a false rumour. But seems like some users are still not believing it. For those, OnePlus has a solution in their next Open Beta update.
OnePlus has released new Open Beta update for their supported devices. In this Open Beta 3 update, they decided to remove the clipboard function, and the reason behind doing this is user feedback. Changes in all devices are same, except OnePlus 5T. Well that’s because OnePlus 5T has bezel-less design with no capacitive buttons. It got the functionality of gesture navigation. With this feature users can navigate through the phone with simple gestures. We have seen similar feature in iPhone X. It don’t work 100% same, but mostly it is same. Apart from these few changes, they added few new features like call pick-up gesture switch. You can find detailed changelog from the source link below. Also if you want to join Open Beta, download the OTA zip file from the source link and install it via offline OTA system.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Personally speaking, OnePlus did a good job by removing clipboard function, as it’s not much useful and also it will help to gain the trust of their users. The full-screen gesture function also seems good, if anyone wants to try something new on their OnePlus 5T. What are your thoughts on this update? Do let us know in the comments below.
