In January, HMD Global powered Nokia launched the successor of their most popular Android smartphone Nokia 6 in China, named as Nokia 6 2018. A month after this launch i.e. in February at MWC 2018 event, they announced this Nokia 6 2018 for the Global market, with the support of Google’s Android One program. Now today, they launched the same smartphone in the USA as well.
Nokia launched this phone in the USA under a slightly different name, Nokia 6.1. Despite have a slightly different name, it is exactly similar to the global variant. This one is also an Android One powered smartphone, which results in pure stock Android and seamless updates up to 2 years, and 3 years of security updates. This one is also powered by Snapdragon 630 processor, 4GB RAM, 32/64GB internal storage with MicroSd Card support, 16MP Rear Camera with f2.0 lens and 8MP front camera with f2.0 lens as well, and all other specs are also exactly same.

- Nokia 6.1 32GB variant = $269 (₹17,949)
- Nokia 6.1 64GB variant = $309 (₹20,618)
- Will be available from 6th May on BestBuy and Amazon.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. We still need to wait for some time for an 18:9 Nokia smartphone. Seems like Nokia is going on a tier 1 style in terms of providing features.
