Early this month, HMD Global unveiled a couple of devices along with Nokia 7.2 at the IFA 2019 event and the company attended the event for the first time in the history. Well, now we got a new place of information which suggests that the company will launch the Nokia 7.2 in India.
The Nokia 7.2 will go on sale across the country on September 23 via Flipkart and the official website of the company, the 4GB RAM variant of the device is priced at ₹18,599 and the 6GB RAM variant will cost ₹19,599.
This Nokia 7.2 has Polymer composite material which they claims as stronger and lighter as compared to other materials. It sports a 6.3 inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ (2280×1080) resolution and 400 pixel density (ppi). It’s an HDR10 supported display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It comes with an old but good Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 octa core processor with Adreno 512 GPU. It has 4/6GB RAM with 64/128GB of internal storage respectively with expandable storage option.
In terms of optics, this Nokia 7.2 has Zeiss powered 48MP primary camera with f/1.8 lens, Pixel binning, night mode, EIS and PDAF. Secondary camera is 8MP ultra wide with f/2.2 lens. Lastly, the third one has 5MP depth sensor with Zeiss’s three different portrait styles. It can record 4K videos as well. In the front there’s 20MP camera with f/2.0 lens. Interestingly this front camera can also do Pixel binning.
This phone runs on Android 9 Pie out of the box with stock Android. Nokia says that they will soon upgrade it to Android 10, and as it’s an Android One device it will get 2 years of software updates and 3 years of security patches. It packs in a 3500mAh battery with standard 10W charging. There’s a fingerprint sensor at the back as well. For connectivity, it has 4G, dual band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm jack, and Type-C port.
