Almost a dozen of brands already canceled the upcoming MWC event, and now too big names join the list – Nokia as well as HMD Global. Both the brands have released their press releases separately, having said that, HMD Global operates the mobile division of Nokia but the company also has its different businesses and that is the reason for two separate press releases.
Just like other brands, Nokia and HMD Global also canceled their presence at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 event due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. HMD Global says that the company is concern for the health of its employees and that is the reason to cancel the event.
On the other hand, Nokia also said similar words in its press release. Having said that, Nokia also said that it plans to go directly into its customers via live events and online event and that may also include a demonstration of its 5G technology along with the new smartphones.
So, let’s hope that the committee of the MWC 2020 event will cancel this year’s event or at least reschedule it to a different time period and that will offer innovative products.
