We are hearing something new about the upcoming Nothing Phone 1 almost every day and the company has already confirmed to launch the device on July 12 globally. The device will feature a transparent back panel and it will also offer LED strips on the back. Before the launching of the device, the topmost executive of the brand officially revealed the information related to the chipset of the smartphone. The backbone of the company, Carl Pei told Input Mag that the Nothing Phone 1 will have the Snapdragon 778G+ mobile processor at its heart.
It is worth mentioning that this particular chipset was announced in the month of October last year and the chipset maker has said that the support for wireless charging as well as reverse charging capability added to the chip specifically for the Nothing Phone 1.
Based on the previous reports, the upcoming Nothing Phone will have a starting price of $397 for the base 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The device will also arrive with an 8GB + 256GB storage option and the same will have a price tag of $419 and the top end variant 12GB + 256GB will be priced at $456.
It is also said that the first sale of the upcoming Nothing Phone 1 in global markets will start two weeks later its official announcement. But it is worth mentioning that the Indian users can Pre-order pass reservations for the Nothing Phone 1 right now and the device will be available via Flipkart and it is also reported that the company may offer the device via offline market through Reliance Digital in India.
The upcoming Nothing Phone 1 smartphone will feature a 6.55-inch display along with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. It is also reported that the smartphone will have “No chin” which indicates super-slim bottom bezels across the display. It is also believed that the device will support a 90Hz or a 120Hz refresh rate.
Nothing previously confirmed that the device will run the Nothing OS based on Android 12 out of the box and the device will receive 3 years of software updates and 4 years of security updates. It is also reported that the device will support 45W fast charging support. The smartphone will feature a dual camera setup on the back and a punch-hole on the front to accommodate the front facing camera.
