A few days ago, we came across the Geekbench of a Nothing smartphone and the same was believed to be the upcoming Nothing Phone 3. However, it was a wrong assumption. Today we got a new piece of information which says that it was actually the Nothing Phone 3a. It is actually confirmed by the GSMA database listing. According to the latest information, the model number A059 is the upcoming Nothing Phone 3a, A059P corresponds to the Nothing Phone 3a Plus and the third device of the company which is also believed to be announced in the first quarter of 2025, will come from Nothing’s sub-brand CMF, and the device will be called the CMF Phone 2, that will come with model number A0001.
It is reported that all three devices have appeared on the GSMA database, the Nothing Phone 3a and 3a Plus codenamed “asteroids” and “asteroids_plus” respectively. On the other hand, the upcoming CMF Phone 2 carries the codename “galaga”.
Speaking about the specifications of the Nothing Phone 3a, the device will be coming with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 mobile processor, as previously spotted on Geekbench. The new report is also revealed that the device will feature a primary camera with 26mm focal length, 4K 60FPS video recording, and 1080P slow-motion at up to 480FPS.
The device will also come with features including Super Macro, Super EIS, and Super Night modes (names may change). The front camera of the phone will support 29mm focal length, 1080P at 30FPS—reduced from the Phone 2a’s 60FPS capability. There will be no high-resolution RAW photography, but the device will feature in-sensor zoom technology.
It is also said that the device will run the latest Android 15 with Nothing OS 3.1 out of the box. Moreover, it is also reported that the upcoming CMF Phone 2 will also come with the power of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 SoC.
