Recently, we witnessed for the Xiaomi backed Black Shark Gaming Smartphone and it is the second in this class after the Razer, who unveiled the first gaming smartphone in the market. Well, now yet another Chinese brand ZTE’s subsidiary Nubia has unveiled a new Gaming Smartphone and the device is called Nubia Red Magic.
Let’s start with the build, the device is made out of anodized aluminium and the device is coming with four grilles at the rear side. Three of them are the vents for heat dissipation, and the fourth one is a dummy, to maintain the look you know. Moreover, it has glowing strip of RGB LED lights and it can be customized according to the user’s wish. Moreover, the device has air cooling, and for this, the vents are there. And the device also comes coated with three layers of graphite that improve heat dissipation.
The Nubia Red Magic sports 6 inch Full HD+ display with the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio and having 2160 X 1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by 2.45 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor and device is paired with 6/8 GB RAM along with Adreno 540 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device is coming with two variants 64 GB with (6 GB of RAM) and 128 GB of internal storage with (8 GB RAM).
Moving to the photography department, the device has 24 megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, 6P Lens, NewVision 7.0 and LED flash, along with an 8 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 3P 76.9-degrees wide-angle lens. The device has Fingerprint Scanner, Dedicated Game Button, TAS2555 Chip, and DTS Sound. Having said that, the device is coming with a slider at the top on the right side, and it will allow the users to enable the gaming mode for better gaming performance and a user can also block distractions from the calls and notifications during the game.
Regarding connectivity, the device has 4G, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, USB OTG, GPS and USB Type-C. The device runs on Android Oreo 8.1 which is based on low Nubia Red Magic OS, and the device has 3,800 mAh battery to keep the lights on. In terms of colour choices, the device will be available in black and red.
Pricing and availability of the device
The 6 GB RAM variant is priced at ¥2499 (approx. ₹26,230).
8 GB RAM variant is priced at ¥2999 (approx. ₹31,480).
It will be available in China from April 26.
There’s no information about the availability of the device in other parts of the globe.
