After launching the Nubia Z50 smartphone in December, now the company has introduced the new Nubia Z50 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and it is having an under display front facing camera. The newly announced Nubia Z50 Ultra features a 6.8-inch OLED display along with a full viewing experience as the device is not having any cut out on the top of the screen, the device is having an under display camera set up. The display of the device is offering a Full HD+ resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 960Hz. The device also offers a 1440Hz PWM dimming, a peak brightness of 1500 nits, 10-bit colors, and a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut.

Nubia Z50 Ultra is coming with a custom-made 16-megapixel OmniVision OV16E1Q under-display camera with a 2.24μm super large pixel size. It is also said that the light transmittance has increased by 30 precent and the same will enable the device to capture better selfies. It is also having the AI super-sensing engine and image super-transparency enhancement technology. Speaking about the back panel, the device features a 35mm 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 main camera with OIS support, an 85mm 64-megapixel periscope zoom camera with OIS support, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and the same will also work as a macro camera. The device is also coming with a ring LED flash and multi-channel spectral sensors.
Nubia Z50 Ultra is powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor along with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device is housing a 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support.
It is also featuring a 4212mm2 large vapor chamber liquid cooling system. Regarding the connectivity options, the device supports a dual SIM card slot, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ax, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, an IR blaster, an X-axis linear motor, and a USB-C port. It is running on Android 13 with MyOS 13.
In terms of pricing and availability, the new Nubia Z50 Ultra is having a starting price of 3,999 Yuan. The special edition smartphone of the device called Nubia Z50 Ultra Starry Night Collector’s Edition comes with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage and the same is priced at 4,999 Yuan. The device will be available in China from March 14.
