The South Korean electronics giant Samsung has officially announced the new One UI 5 Watch update and the same will be available later this year for the devices such as Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5, both of which currently run on Wear OS 3. The One UI 5 Watch update is focusing on sleep, fitness, and safety. As the company is offering features like Sleep Insights UI, Sleep Coaching, and better connectivity between Galaxy Watches and SmartThings-compatible devices.
One UI 5 Watch is also coming with an improved personalized Heart Rate Zone and the same is capable to analyze physical capabilities and offers tailored running tools including real-time running analysis and a customized interval training program.
It is also coming with an expanded Route Workout and the same enables the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro users to access GPX Files through the Samsung Health app. The operating system is also coming with improved safety features like an updated SOS system and the same will offer direct communication to an emergency phone number and it can offer information like location and medical information. It also brings Fall Detection by default for users aged 55 or older.
