After launching the OnePlus 15 in the markets of China, today the company has introduced the device in the markets of India and it becomes the first phone in India to feature the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile processor. The device comes with similar specifications as the Chinese variant. The phone houses a large 7,300mAh battery and it runs on the latest Android 16 operating system. The OnePlus 15 sports a 6.78-inch 1.5K BOE X3 8T LTPO flat display with 2772×1272 pixels resolution along with an adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 165Hz and 10-bit colour depth (1.07 billion colours). The device also features 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, HDR10+, HDR Vivid, and Dolby Vision. It comes with up to 1800 nits peak brightness, with a 1-nit minimum brightness and the display integrates PWM + DC dimming, eye protection, motion sickness relief, along with a Display P3 independent chip. The device also features TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification.
It has the power of the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 mobile processor along with the new “Fengchi Game Core,” a chip-level gaming system designed for stable 165fps gameplay and efficient power management. The device also comes with the G2 triple-core network chip for lower latency on cellular and Wi-Fi networks, and the device also comes with Lingxi three-core touch controller offering a 3200Hz sampling rate with touch-display synchronisation.
The newly announced OnePlus 15 comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage. It runs on ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, and the device is featuring AI-driven performance optimisation and customisation.
Speaking about the camera department, the latest OnePlus 15 comes with a triple 50MP camera system powered by OPPO’s LUMO imaging engine. The camera setup includes a 50MP main Sony IMX906 wide-angle lens (f/1.8, 24mm) with OIS, a 50MP Omnivision OV50D ultra-wide lens (f/2.0, 16mm) with a 116° field of view, and a 50MP Samsung JN5 telephoto periscope lens (f/2.8, 80mm) with 3.5x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. Regarding the connectivity options, the device includes dual 5G (SA/NSA), Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 (aptX, LDAC, LHDC 5.0), NFC, dual Nano SIM, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou, and QZSS. The phone has IP66/68/69K dust and water resistance, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, dual stereo speakers, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
In terms of pricing and availability, the latest OnePlus 15 has a price tag of Rs. 72,999 for the base variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. On the other hand, the 16GB of RAM and 512GB onboard storage model is priced at Rs. 79,999. Having said that, the device will be available with a discount of Rs. 4,000 for the customers with the HDFC Bank offer, this offer will bring down the price of the base variant to Rs. 68,999.
