It was previously reported that the OnePlus 16 smartphone will be coming with a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera. But today the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station has reported that the company is testing another camera configuration.
According to the latest report, the prototype features a 200-megapixel large-sensor primary camera along with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. It is also said that the company would prefer a 200-megapixel primary camera or a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
The upcoming OnePlus 16 is expected to come with a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED panel along with offering a 1.5K resolution, a 185Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The device will come with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip which is expected to be announced in September this year.
It is also believed to come with a massive 9,000mAh battery along with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device is expected to run on Android 17 with ColorOS 17 in China and OxygenOS 17 in global markets. The device is also expected to come with features including an X-axis bionic vibration motor, symmetrical dual speakers, an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, and IP68/69-rated dust and water resistance.
