It has been officially announced that the upcoming OnePlus 16 smartphone will be launched in China on October 12th. The device will be introduced with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 mobile processor and it is made on TSMC 2nm N2P, with a 2+3+3 tri-cluster octa-core CPU along with Adreno 850 GPU for the graphical task.
The device will also come with 3 additional in-house chips alongside it, G3 network chip, T3 touch chip and P4 chip for display, and a DLSS 4 level super-frame experience. The device will feature a BOE X4 panel with 165Hz global refresh rate and 185Hz gaming refresh rate.
It will come with a 200MP 1/1.4″ main camera with F1.6 aperture, a 50MP ultrawide with 116-degree field of view, a 50MP 1/1.95″ 3X periscope telephoto with upgraded Sony IMX882 sensor and a 50MP autofocus front camera. The device will house a large 9000mAh typical (8780mAh rated) dual-cell battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The device runs on the latest Android 17 with a layer of ColorOS 17 out of the box.
