OnePlus is reportedly working on the next generation OnePlus 16 and the device is expected to be announced by the end of this year. According to the latest information, the upcoming OnePlus 16 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro mobile processor along with a minimum refresh rate of 185Hz, with OnePlus reportedly evaluating support up to 240Hz refresh rate as well. It is also suggested that the device will feature a BOE flat screen with an “ultra-high refresh rate.”
The display is reported to come with LTPO and LIPO packaging technologies to reduce bezels to around 1mm on all four sides. The upcoming device is also reported to come with a 200MP periscope telephoto unit. The device was previously reported to come with the 1/1.x-inch territory. The rest of the rear camera system is expected to come with a 50MP primary and a 50MP ultrawide.
It is also reported that the upcoming device will be coming with a maximum of 9,000mAh. The device is also expected to be introduced with a bionic X-axis vibration motor, symmetrical dual speakers, full water resistance, and a dedicated AI button. The device will be running on the upcoming Android 17 operating system out of the box.
