The OnePlus 5T famous face Unlock feature is also available for OnePlus 5 handsets with an open beta 3 update.
Months after Apple announced faceID in the iPhone X, the feature covered a huge fan group and OnePlus picked up this point and launched OnePlus 5T with the advanced Face Unlock feature which works with the front camera to unlock the devices.
This feature really worked well in the OnePlus 5T handsets and OnePlus has also promised to give the feature to its predecessor OnePlus 5 soon. Now the company has given the Oreo-based OxygenOS open Beta 3Â with a new security patchworks and some optimization bits.
Face Unlock is not as secured as Fingerprint or other conventional security systems. But everyone like to unlock their handsets by looking the front camera. This may not be as speedier as the Fingerprint or passcodes, but style and uniqueness is the advancement of the security system. To get Open Beta, you’ll need to flash it on the OnePlus 5 and if the open beta is enrolled you will get the update via OTA. Check for it and share your experience with us. Did it really work seamlessly with the OnePlus 5 devices?
