OnePlus 6 And OnePlus 6T To Get First Android 10 Beta Update

Back in last week, the popular flagship maker OnePlus announced that it will roll out the latest version of the Android operating system i.e. Android 10 for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T by this month. Well, the company has kept its promise, as the company announced the first beta update of the Android 10 for the kings of last year.

OnePlus has announced the first Open Beta update for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T on its official forum, the latest update will bring all the new features and user interface of the new Android 10. You can check out the company changelog of the new beta update below.

  • System
    • Upgraded to Android 10
    • Brand new UI design
    • Enhanced location permissions for privacy
    • New customization feature in Settings allowing you to choose icon shapes to be displayed in the Quick Settings
  • Full Screen Gestures
    • Added inward swipes from the left or right edge of the screen to go back
    • Added a bottom navigation bar to allow switching left or right for recent apps
  • Game Space
    • New Game Space feature now joins all your favorite games in one place for easier access and better gaming experience
  • Smart display
    • Intelligent info based on specific times, locations and events for Ambient Display (Settings – Display – Ambient Display – Smart Display)
  • Message
    • Now possible to block spam by keywords for Message (Messages – Spam – Settings -Blocking settings)

The update is rolling out now as an OTA if you’re already on the OnePlus Open Beta programme for the OnePlus 6 or OnePlus 6T. Having said that, the beta updates are not stable as the official update, install the beta update on your own risk.
