OnePlus 6 series was announced in 2018 and the smartphone series includes two smartphones called OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T. Both the smartphones showcased an amazing performance in the market. The OnePlus 6T was the first smartphone of the brand to feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and the smartphone series introduced with many new innovative features. Well, now the company is started to roll out the latest version of the Android operating system and that is Android 11.

Everything about the latest update for the OnePlus 6 series 

The smartphone brand is rolling out the stable version of the Android 11-based OxygenOS 11 update for the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T. The latest update brings a refreshed user interface (UI) along with various optimizations. They will also bring the camera application with camera app an updated UI and improvements.

Both the smartphones will get a new gaming tool box in the Game Space along with Fnatic mode. It will also provide three options for selecting how notifications are displayed — text-only, heads up, and block. 

The latest Android 11 update for the smartphones will bring a new quick reply feature for the popular social media applications like Instagram, WhatsApp, and Telegram. It is worth mentioning that the company has added a new feature in the Game Space and that is called mistouch prevention.

OnePlus has also updated the Ambient Display mode and the same will bring a new Insight Clock style, that is created in collaboration with Parsons School of Design, and the clock style will change according to the data usage of the device. It also brings a new Canvas feature and it will automatically draw a wireframe picture based on the lock screen photo.

The list of the new feature is not completed, as the company brings a shortcut for the Dark Mode on the smartphones in the Quick Settings panel. It is worth mentioning that the feature can be scheduled to turn off or on automatically. According to the sunset and sunrise/ Custom time range. Moreover, the update also make changes in the Shelf as it will have a redesigned UI and a new weather widget.

As always, the update will be available via OTA and the company is rolling out the update in the phased manner. That means it will take some time to reach all the units out in the country and you guys can check out the update manually by visiting the settings app of the smartphone.
