OnePlus 6 To Be The Most Expensive OnePlus Device Ever

If we talk about flagship smartphones being launched in 2018, the only major OEM who launched their flagship smartphone is Samsung. Otherwise, no other major OEM launched the actual 2018 flagship smartphone as of now. But speaking about leaks of those upcoming flagships, we are getting some leaks of few other smartphones. One of those is OnePlus 6, the 2018 flagship killer of OnePlus. A few days back we got a leak which suggested the design of OnePlus 6 along with few specs, and today we got another one. So let’s have a look.

This latest leak reveals some details about the specs as well as the pricing. First, let’s talk about the specs. This phone comes with latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, that’s obvious by looking at OnePlus’s previous track records on giving latest processors. It sports a 6.2” display, though no information is here as of now we can assume that it will be surely an 18:9 panel with Full HD+ resolution. The variant listed here is an 8GB variant but the internal storage seems to be interesting i.e. 256GB. Well, that’s the 1st time we are seeing 256GB in any OnePlus device. Most probably we will get the regular 6GB & 64GB variant as well as 8GB & 128GB variant. The rear camera sensors look somehow similar to going through the resolution i.e. 16MP + 20MP, similar to OnePlus 5T. And obviously, it will have Dash Charge support.

Now coming to the most interesting part of this leak, the pricing. According to this listing, this phone is going to be the most expensive OnePlus device ever with the price tag of USD 749 (INR 48,810, EUR 609). Certainly, OnePlus will give complete value even if we take this price seriously, but then also it will be considered as an overpriced phone because few more bucks and we will get Galaxy S9. Yeah, I know that it has that huge 256GB storage and is 2018 flagship killer, the latest version, but still, this price looks a bit higher.

So that’s all the information we have as of now. As this increased storage, as well as the price, is something which we haven’t seen into OnePlus’s account yet, I would suggest to take this piece of information with a pinch of salt. Personally, I think that OnePlus will surely not give this phone at this much price, especially in countries like China and India where they have a big fan following which is increasing day by day.
