After lots of leaks, rumors, and teasers, the online makers OnePlus launched the much-anticipated OnePlus 6T in the month of October. The smartphone is the successor of the company’s most successful device – the OnePlus 6. The company has launched the device in three variants – 6 + 128 GB variant (₹37,999), 8 + 128 GB variant (₹41,999), and 8 + 256 GB variant (₹45,999). The company has done a remarkable upgrade in the successor of the OnePlus 6, and one of them is the in-display fingerprint scanner.
Apart from the latest technology of unlocking, the smartphone brand has upgraded some other important factors into the latest smartphone of it’s ‘T’ series. I am using the device from past one month and in this article, I will review the all-new OnePlus 6T and I’ll try to give all the answers to all the questions about the device. So, without wasting any time let’s dive into the article to know more about the newly launched OnePlus 6T.
What’s Inside The Box:
Along with the phone, you will get the Dash Charger and USB Type-C cable which you can connect for charging as well as for the USB cable to connect the smartphone with the PC. You will also get a USB Type-C adaptor which will help you to connect your old 3.5 mm headphone with the device, and a SIM eject pin. Moreover, the smartphone is also coming with pre-applied screen guard and you will also get a flexible Silicon cover to protect the rear side from unwanted scratches. And of course, the box also has warranty paper and user manual. Having said that, inside the box you will also see a letter, which is written by the CEO of the OnePlus, and it shows that how much the company values its customers.
Design:
In the past years, we saw that the smartphone brand does not make too many changes in its ‘T’ series. However, this year, the company has made huge changes in the OnePlus 6T, when we compare with the predecessor. As we can see that the new device is coming with a fresh design and it also keeps the trend. The new device is coming with a small waterdrop notch instead of the chunky notch which we have on the OnePlus 6. The device also looks big and the bezels are slim, and the build looks nice, tough and also it has a glass body. The rear side of the smartphone has a dual camera setup and OnePlus branding, it is covered with glass, and the smartphone is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Moving to the right side of the device has the power button along with the alert slider, and left side of the device, it has the volume rockers and SIM card tray, and in the bottom of the device has a USB Type-C port and speaker. The device doesn’t support the wireless charging support nor IP certification, only splash resistance is there. That’s a disappointing stuff, but it’s okay.
Display:
The all new OnePlus 6T has a 6.41-inch Optic AMOLED Full HD+ display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution, along with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a small notch at the top, and it can be hidden (Thank God 😍). The device also allows you to use the Ambient Display and it will give better viewing angles and the screen is visible in outdoor, and the display is very bright as well as crisp. The smartphone also has Night Mode and Reading Mode.
Performance:
The smartphone is powered by 2.8 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor, as it is the flagship chipset and fastest too. Moreover, the device further paired with up to 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB UFS 2.1 internal storage. That means, it is faster and users will not face any lag. The device also has Adreno 630 for the graphical task, and that gives really awesome graphics. I also played some popular games like PUBG and Asphalt 9: Legends, both of them ran smoothly and I did not face any lag or performance issue while playing the game.
Camera:
The OnePlus 6T has 16 megapixel + 20 megapixel dual cameras at the rear side and a 16 megapixel front camera. That said, both the rear and front cameras are powered by the Sony Exmor sensors, and the camera department also supports an optical image stabilizer, 480fps slow motion, 4K at 60fps slow motion, Portrait mode, along with the new Night mode feature. The Night mode will serve you with better low-light shots, but to use this feature, you need to keep the device still until it captures. It is worth to mention that, the front camera is not that awesome. But it is pretty decent under the Portrait mode. Overall, the camera department of the device is pretty good. You can check the samples below!

In-Display Fingerprint Scanner:
With the latest OnePlus 6T, the smartphone brand has adopted the latest technology of unlocking. The in-display fingerprint scanner is really fast and it works better with more and more usage, and you will get three different animations to choose the perfect match for your style.
Battery:
The latest offering of the premium smartphone manufacturer OnePlus’s i.e. OnePlus 6T, is backed on a 3,700 mAh battery and that is larger than its predecessor i.e. OnePlus 6. Thanks to the bigger battery, as it gives more power and I get more than 8 hours of power in heavy usage. Speaking about the charging time, the device takes nearly two hours to charge a completely from 1%.
Software:
The OnePlus 6T runs on the latest OxygenOS 9 which is based on the Android Pie 9.0 along with security patch dated 1st November 2018. Talking about the UI, the device has nearly stock Android, and the best part is there are no bloatwares, as you can uninstall the applications of the smartphone brand as well.
Verdict:
Well, the OnePlus 6T is really true flagship killer. The smartphone has a perfect combination of style, power, as well as the latest trend and technology. Moreover, the pricing is still okay when we compare with the flagships of other brands. So, if you are looking to upgrade your current device, then the all new OnePlus 6T will be the perfect choice for you.
