Google has released Android 13 and the same is now two months older as well but the popular Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus has released a major Android update to the OnePlus 7 series and the company is offering a year old Android 12 update.
The OnePlus 7, 7 Pro, 7T, and 7T Pro smartphones are getting the taste of the Android 12 operating system and it is coming after more than 1 year but it is better late than never.
OnePlus was testing the beta version of the Android 12 operating system for the past couple of weeks and the users who were part of the same will receive the final update and those who not participated in the beta testing will receive the new update in the coming days or weeks.
Along with the new Android 12 update, the company is also bringing the August 2022 security patch, which is disappointing because it is two months older.
The new software update is coming as OxygenOS 12.1 and it will feature a complete visual overhaul along with many new features. The update including a three-level dark mode, new style options for Cards in Shelf, the new Smart Battery Engine which uses algorithms to prolong your battery life, new app icons, an overall system-wide optimization, support for blocking spam MMS, and the HyperBoost end-to-end frame rate stabilizer for games.
Users of the device will also get WorkLife Balance including quickly switching between Work and Life with a Quick Settings toggle, and there’s support for automatic switching too, according to the locations. It also include a Wi-Fi network, or time. Gallery will now enable you to switch between layouts with a two-finger pinch gesture, while Canvas AOD has new styles of lines and colors. You will get new brushes and strokes, along with improved face recognition.
You will get the update via OTA and if you didn’t find the notification then check for the new Android 12 update manually by heading to the settings app.
