OnePlus launched the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro for the international markets via an online event just two days back. Without wasting much time, the company has now announced the OnePlus flagships for the Chinese market.
During the online event, held two days back, OnePlus announced their new phones for the US and European markets. The US pricing has sparked a debate in which some people agree that the Series was priced well whereas others don’t.
The OnePLus 8 starts at $699 and the OnePlus 8 Pro starts at $899 for the American android fans. In contrast, the Chinese pricing is $137 less with OnePlus 8 priced at 3,996 CNY and OnePlus 8 Pro at 5,389 CNY.
If you are thinking, what is the big deal, the Chinese launch holds some hints to the unannounced Indian pricing. If we convert the Chinese pricing, the Indian pricing of OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro could start at around Rs 45,000 and Rs. 60,000 respectively.
One could argue that the aggressive pricing in China is due to dynamic pricing and less BOM (Bill Of Materials).
