A couple of weeks ago, we updated that OnePlus confirmed the sale date of its latest and greatest OnePlus 8 series and it will start from May 29 but today the company has released a statement that will break the heart of many fans of the brand.
As the company confirms the general sales will be delayed in the market of India and that is due to the temporary issue with the production unit, the reason is a well-known thing and that is the coronavirus.
Unfortunately, OnePlus did not reveal the new date but it will be announced once the company can able to resume the production and make a large amount of the units. Having said that, the company will start the limited sale as planned from May 29 at 12:00 p.m. onwards from Amazon India and those who will pre-book the device will get a notification whenever the device is ready to ship.

OnePlus 8 Pro
The superstar of the brand’s event, the latest OnePlus 8 Pro features a 6.78-inch Quad HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 3168 x 1440 pixels resolution as well as the curved glass and that is available on the front and back. It also sports a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate along with 1 billion colours and 513 PPI density. The smartphone also supports the MEMC and offers HDR10/10+ content. The display of the smartphone is also a certified A+ from DisplayMate. Speaking about the protection, the company has layered the Gorilla Glass to protect the display from scratches and any other incidents.
Under the hood, the flagship smartphone is powered by the latest and greatest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor along with the 8/12 GB LPDDR5 RAM and the Adreno 650 GPU for the graphical task. In terms of storage, the device comes with 128/256 GB of internal storage with UFS 3.0 and just like it’s predecessors, the device will not allow you to expand the storage.
Moving to the photography department, the new OnePlus 8 Pro comes with quad rear camera setup and that is happening for the first time in the portfolio of the brand. The smartphone rocks 48-megapixel primary Sony IMX689 sensor with an f/1.78 aperture and optical image stabilization (OIS) as well as electronic image stabilization (EIS), followed by an 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.44 telephoto lens and OIS support, along with a 48-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, and there’s also a 5-megapixel “Colour Filter” camera sensor and it is assigned to bring artistic lighting effects and filters, and the sensor comes with an f/2.4 aperture. Moreover, the camera department also supports 3x hybrid support and 4K video recording at 30/ 60fps.

Moving on, OnePlus also improves the audio department and brings dual stereo speakers with the support of Dolby Atmos technology as well as Audio 3D and Audio Zoom features. The company has also upgraded Haptic Vibration engine and claimed to offer 11 percent more powerful vibrating effects compared to the predecessors.
It also supports the in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock along with the traditional security options to provide maximum security. Regarding the connectivity options, the OnePlus 8 Pro supports Dual SIM, 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (2×2 MIMO, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo.
As I mentioned above, OnePlus has added features that were missing from the past couple of years. The company has added an IP68 rating and that will protect the device from water and dust. The smartphone packs the larger 4,510 mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge 30T, and the same also comes with Warp Charge 30 Wireless charging, the smartphone also supports 3W reverse charging. Finally, the smartphone will available in Glacial Green, Ultramarine Blue, and Onyx Black colour options.
Coming to the vanilla variant, the smartphone sports a 6.55-inch full-HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and offers a 90Hz refresh rate, along with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone also comes with a 3D Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
The smartphone rocks a triple rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 primary sensor with an f/1.75 aperture, followed by a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens, and a 16-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and the cameras supports 4K video recording at 30/ 60fps. For the selfies, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 sensor with an f/2.45 aperture.
It also ships on a 4,300 mAh battery and that supports Warp Charge 30T. It would be great if the company implement the wireless charging on the vanilla variant as well. Having said that, other specifications are similar to the Pro variant. Speaking about the colour choices, the smartphone will available in Onyx Black, Glacial Green, Interstellar Glow, and Polar Silver.

Oneplus 8 for 6GB RAM/ 128 GB ROM version : Rs. 41,999. This variant comes in glacial green colour. while the 8GB RAM/ 128 GB ROM version: Rs. 44,999. This configuration comes in both onyx black and glacial green. Lastly, the 12GB RAM/ 256 GB ROM for Rs. 49,999 The maxed-out version of the OnePlus 8 comes in three colours – Interestellar glow thrown into the mix.
The OnePlus 8 Pro with 8GB / 128GB configuration is available for Rs. 54,999. Two colour options available for this version are onyx black and glacial green. And the 12GB RAM / 256GB storage could be yours at Rs. 59,999. Along with onyx black and glacial green, the Ultramarine black one is available too, which is exclusive to the top-end variant.
