The OnePlus 8 series is a hot cake in terms of leaks and rumours from quite some time now. And if we believe in current leaks then we know a lot about the upcoming series, as a Lite version, punch hole camera, 120hz refresh rate, and more. Also, there are few features that are very demanding for a lot of time now, which are supposed to be available in the OnePlus 8 series. One of those is wireless charging support, a feature that is still available in premium flagships only. And today we got an important piece of information regarding the same.
Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) is an authority which gives access to power a device wirelessly. And now OnePlus’s name is mentioned on WPC’s website, which indicates that future OnePlus smartphones will have support for wireless charging technology. Having the company’s name clearly says that the company will use this technology. So it’s almost confirmed now that the OnePlus 8 series will have the support for the same. A previous leak that came out a few days before also suggested that the OnePlus 8 series will have support for wireless charging. Though that was not a trusted statement as compared to this, both this information coming out in the gap of a few days makes the assumption stronger.
So that’s all the information we have as of now. Personally I still don’t find this feature necessary, but having this feature is a plus point for sure. Instead of wireless charging, it would be a lot better than OnePlus 8 series will have superior camera quality, comparable to Apple, Google, and Samsung.
