OnePlus 8T Launched with 65W Charger in the Box

OnePlus has finally made the OnePlus 8T official. The smartphone comes as a successor to the OnePlus 8 at a slightly higher price. In terms of features, the smartphone closely resembles its predecessor but boasts of some significant changes as well. This time the company has not unveiled a successor to the OnePlus 8 Pro as they believe the industry does not have anything significant to warrant an upgrade to their top of the line flagship. Without wasting any more time let us dive into the detailed specifications of the OnePlus 8T.

Specifications of the OnePlus 8T

The all-new OnePlus 8T feature a 6.55 inch Fluid AMOLED flat display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate as well as a sampling rate of 240Hz. We already know that the device will have a punch-hole design at the left corner of the screen and it will also come with 402 PPI pixel density along with the protection of Gorilla Glass. The display supports HDR10+, JNCD of 0.3, and can achieve a maximum brightness of 1200 nits. Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor along with up to 12 GB LPDDR4X RAM, and the same will have 128/256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage.

Moving to the photography department, the OnePlus 8T will have a quad-rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, OIS, EIS, followed by a 16MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture and 123-degree FOV. It features a 5MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture, a 2MP monochrome camera, and a dual-LED flash. There is a 16MP front camera inside the punch hole. The camera comes with features like Video Nightscape, Video Portrait, Video Tracking, and Super Stabilization.

Regarding the connectivity options, it will support 5G, Bluetooth 5.1 (with aptX, aptX HD, LDAC, AAC), NFC, Wi-Fi 6 (2.4GHz and 5GHz), GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, and USB-C. The smartphone also supports an in-display fingerprint scanner and also comes with dual stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos support. The smartphone is based on OxygenOS 11. It features Always on Display and comes on top of Android 11. It will pack a slightly larger 4,500 mAh battery and a faster Warp Charge 65W charger will be present in the box. It also supports 27W USB Power Delivery (PD) Charging.

Pricing and Availability

The OnePlus 8T is priced at INR 42,999 for the 8+128 GB and INR 45,999 for the 12+256GB variant. It will be available in Aquamarine Green and Lunar Silver Colours. The device will go on sale from October 16 via Amazon in India.
