After all the leaks and teasers, the launch date of the upcoming OnePlus Ace 5 series is officially confirmed. This Smartphone series will include the vanilla variant and the Pro variant. It is officially announced that the upcoming OnePlus Ace 5 series will be official in the markets of China on December 26. It is worth mentioning that the vanilla variant will be official in the name of OnePlus 13R globally and the device is confirmed to be announced on January 7.
The company has confirmed that the OnePlus Ace 5 series will be available in five storage options including 12GB+256GB, 12GB+512GB, 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and 16GB+1TB. It is also confirmed that the vanilla variant will be available in Gravitational Titanium, Full Speed Black, and Celestial Porcelain colour options.
On the other hand, the Pro variant of the smartphone series will be available in Moon White Porcelain, Submarine Black, and Starry Purple colour options. It is believed that the Porcelain models might come with ceramic back panels while the other colour options might have a glass back.
The upcoming OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to come with identical specifications. The smartphone series is expected to feature a 6.78-inch flat BOE X2 LTPO OLED screen with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner. The devices will also come with the latest Android 15 with ColorOS 15 out of the box. The devices will also feature an IR blaster, an alert slider, dual speakers, and a metal middle frame.
It is expected that the devices will come with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. On the back, the Pro variant might feature a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.
The OnePlus Ace 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 mobile processor and it will house a 6,400mAh battery with 80W fast charging. On the other hand, the Ace 5 Pro will be coming with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and a 6,100mAh battery with 100W rapid charging.
