As we have seen last year that fast charging speeds are way more higher than before, especially from OEMs like OPPO, Xiaomi, and OnePlus. The speed varies from 15W to 30W, or even 50W. So topping up the smartphone quickly is become very easy now. But still some people forget that before travel or going outside, and in that case they use power bank. Power bank is easy to carry in the bag so it’s a very convenient method for charging on the go. But comparing to plug charging, the speeds here are very low. Most power banks have 10W support, few has 18W support. But we can hardly see more than 18W power bank in the market as of now.
Now seems like OnePlus is bringing a solution for this i.e. a fast charging power bank. Carl Pie (OnePlus Co-founder) asked from his followers on Twitter about a fast charging power bank. And as expected the comments were filled with desperate OnePlus users. Because finally OnePlus is launching official fast charging power bank which will charge their OnePlus devices to it’s fullest.
Now there are multiple questions like launch date, capacity, charging speed (20W or 30W), and most importantly price. Because OnePlus is moving towards premium products with premium price, so pricing won’t be aggressive at all. Also if this will be 20W power bank, it will be a copy of Realme VOOC power bank which was launch few months back with 20W support. But recently it went out of stock on Amazon India, maybe to gain OnePlus audience.
As of now we don’t have any other information regarding the same. The biggest question will be charging speed and price. Personally I think it would have 30W speed, but if it’s 20W than also it would be a great deal. And I guess it will launch with OnePlus 8 series. So what’s your expected speed and pricing?
