Finally, OnePlus has unveiled its OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G in the market of India and the device was on the headlines for the past couple of days in the form of leaks and rumours. The company has introduced the device with the power of the MediaTek Dimensity 900 mobile processor and the company has implemented a triple rear camera setup on the board. The smartphone is featuring a 64 megapixel primary sensor and you will get a punch-hole set up on the top of the screen. It is also coming with a 65W fast charging solution and it is running on Android 11 out of the box which is very disappointing. Design
The device looks more like an Oppo smartphone, as you will find the camera module similar to the Oppo Smartphones and there are two big camera sensors along with a small camera sensor inside the camera module. The company is offering a punch-hole setup on the top left corner of the screen and you will also get a 3.5 mm headphone jack at the bottom side of the smartphone. The back panel of the device also has a glossy finish. It is available in two colour options and that is Bahama Blue and Gray Mirror. Overall, the device is coming with a OnePlus body and has the spirit of Oppo.

The device features a 6.43-inch full-HD+ Fluid AMOLED display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution along with a 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole setup on the top of the screen. It is also featuring a pixel density of 409ppi along with sRGB and Display P3 colour gamut support. The display department also supports HDR10+ certification and it is having Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC with an ARM Mali-G68 GPU along with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage that can be expandable using micro SD card.
Speaking about the camera department, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G features a triple rear camera setup and that is in the combination of a 64-megapixel primary camera with a 0.7 micrometre pixel size and an f/1.7 aperture lens along with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera with a 119-degree field of view and an f/2.2 aperture lens. It is worth mentioning that both the camera sensors are coming with electronic image stabilization (EIS) support. The third sensor of the device is a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens. On the front, the device is featuring a 16-megapixel Sony IMX471 camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens and EIS support.
Regarding the connectivity options, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G comes with 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GPS, and A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. It is also coming with an in-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock along with the traditional security options.
OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G houses a 4,500mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC fast charging and the device runs on Android 11 with OxygenOS 11 running on top.
Pricing and availability
OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G is coming with a price tag of ₹23,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option, while the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at ₹24,999. The smartphone will be available from February 22 via Amazon, the company’s official website and retail stores, according to OnePlus.
