OnePlus Open is the first ever foldable smartphone of the popular Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus and the company is believed to launch the device on October 19. Now the hands on video of the device appears online which gives us a good look at the device before its official announcement.
Before we get into the article, let me see that the Oppo Find N3 and OnePlus Open are basically the same with different branding. Then newly leaked video showing a circular camera module and there is a video which also says that the device has a crease and the same isn’t as prominent as the one found in the one seen in Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. The device is expected to be announced on October 19.
Based on the previous reports, the device features a fold lifecycle of 400,000 times and the same is equivalent to 100 folds a day for a period of 10 years. This information suggests that the upcoming device will last for a long time which is pretty impressive and a great piece of information for the fans of folding devices.
It is also expected that the upcoming OnePlus Open will be available in the colour options such as Voyage Black and Emerald Eclipse. The device is expected to be priced below Rs 1,20,000 in the market of India.
The device could feature a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate while the inner display will feature a large 7.8-inch AMOLED screen along with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
It is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup including a 48MP main camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 64MP telephoto sensor. For selfies, the main display of the device will feature a 32MP camera whereas the interior screen will feature a 20MP camera sensor.
Under the hood, the OnePlus folding smartphone will reportedly be powered by the latest and greatest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor along with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is also expected to house a 4,800mAh battery along with 67W fast charging and the device will be running on Android 13 with OxygenOS 13.1 out of the box.
