The upcoming OnePlus Open is the first ever folding smartphone of the company and the brand has also confirmed the existence of the device and the device is expected to be announced later this month but there are some rumours which are suggesting that the company might delay the launching of the smartphone as well. We already came across the specifications and the designing set up of the device but today the updated or new renders of the upcoming OnePlus Open leaked online and the same is showing significant changes.
The newly leaked renders of the upcoming OnePlus Open folding device are based on the pre-production unit pictures which means it is the best look at the upcoming device. We can see the upcoming OnePlus Open device more compact and it is worth mentioning that the previously leaked render showcased the device with a wider aspect ratio. It is also having curved edges on all sides.
We can also see the circular camera module on the back panel of the device and the same becomes bigger along with slight changes compared to the previous renders. The camera module is housing two sensors, a periscope lens, an ‘H’ branding confirming Hasselblad’s presence, and the camera module is also having another sensor and that might be a Time-of-Flight or LiDAR sensor along with the LED flash is available at the top left corner. The back panel of the device is also featuring a faux leather texture.
The upcoming OnePlus Open features thin bezels on both the interior and cover screen. The device is also having a punch-hole cutout at the centre position of the main display while the same will be available at the top left corner on the interior screen.
It is also having a boxy form factor and we can see the power button as well as volume buttons at the right side of the device and the power button might work as a fingerprint scanner as well. The device is also coming with the signature Alert Slider on the left side. It features quad speakers with two speaker grilles located at the top and bottom along with a USB-C port at the bottom.
