OnePlus Registered Patent For Double Folding Smartphone

Usually, we don’t see that much of smartphone innovation from OnePlus. That’s because they normally use tech from its sister companies Oppo & Vivo. But occasionally they try to do something different like their Concept One phone. And today’s news is about another innovative idea going around in OnePlus R&D team.

OnePlus has registered a patent which hints towards a foldable smartphone. The USP here for patent is its Two Hinge folding tech. Yes, unlike current smartphones with single hinge fold, this upcoming phone might have two folds of screen. This will give room for even bigger display than current size. This patent was filed in China back in 2020 by OnePlus, and published in July 2021. Here’s a look at the patent design:
