The popular Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has officially announced that the company has collaborated with the world’s largest battery maker, CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited), and the new collaboration will be bringing a new battery technology called the “OnePlus Glacier Battery.”
It is said that the upcoming Glacier Battery is “a high-performance battery and the same is designed for high-performance mobile phones. It will be offering a breakthrough in battery life experience and it will be the beginning of a new era.” However, the company did not reveal any other details. But the brand has confirmed that it will be hosting a new event on June 20 where the company will be revealing more about the upcoming battery technology.
There is no information from the official side about the first phone that will feature the upcoming battery technology but it is expected that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro smartphone will be the first to feature the new technology and the device is expected to come with a large 6100mAh battery on the board.
