Well, the CEO of the company, Pete Lau shared the future plans of the smartphone brand in an interview and that gives us something to cheer. Planning to make a smaller device
Currently, the smartphone industry is filled with large screen devices and we don’t have any compact device in recent time. And the users wish to have a smaller smartphone which can hold easily, the smartphone brand understands that and that’s why Lau said that OnePlus is to develop a smaller smartphone and the problem is a smaller device will have a small battery. Having said that, he said that the company is not willing to compromise the battery. So, until this issue resolves the company will not launch a compact smartphone.
Speed will create problems
The world is getting ready for the 5G and that will offer ten times faster connectivity and it more vulnerable to security threats. To solve this issue, OnePlus said to join its hand with a security company to avoid any unwanted issues on its 5G devices. Lau also revealed that it’s upcoming 5G smartphone will be based on sub-6GHz frequency bands, he also said AT&T’s and Verizon’s 5G networks will have mmWave builds.
