OnePlus had launched the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro last week. Along with the flagship phones, the company unveiled a couple of accessories too. Among them is the OnePlus Warp Charge 30 Wireless Charger, which is as the name suggests a wireless charger.
The charger supports a speed of 30 Watts while charging the OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus included wireless charging in the OnePlus 8 Pro, after years of anticipation. However, OnePlus eight does not have a wireless charging feature.
A tipster, Ishan Aggarwal, shared a tip on the pricing of soon to be announced wireless charger from OnePlus. According to Ishan, the accessory will cost around Rs. 3,990, which is equivalent to $52. This asking price is lower than the MRP in the US, which is around $70.
The pricing from OnePlus if turned out to be right would be a perfect one. An OnePlus 8 Pro user can charge his/her phone wirelessly at the same speed as they can do it with a wired charger. One could use this as a stand to place the phone too, given its design aesthetics. There is a fan of the lower part of the charger for better cooling. It ensures a longer charging cycle of the battery inside the phone by controlling the thermals.
OnePlus 8 Pro’s ability to charge itself wirelessly this speed is commendable, given a few competitor’s speed of up to 15W only. We should wait and see if the strategy of pricing OnePlus products lower than other rates in India would aid their success or not. For example, OnePlus 8 Pro starts at $899 in the US in contrast to Indian pricing of Rs. 54,999 or roughly $720, making it $179 cheaper.
