- You guys can now order non-essential goods.
- e-Commerce players will deliver non-essential goods in Orange and Green zones across the country.
- The service will not available in Delhi.
It was supposed that the country will be open on May 3 but due to the severe condition, the government forcefully implemented the lockdown for the third time across the country. However, this time the government eased restriction and that includes the delivery of non-essential items from the online stores.
According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the e-Commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart can now able to take orders and deliver non-essential items such as smartphones, laptops, and more across the country.
However, there is a condition. The online stores can able to deliver the non-essential items only in the Orange and Green zones, which means the service will not available in many parts including Delhi will not get this facility, as the states which are in Red zones are still in the complete lockdown without any ease in the restrictions.
The new decision will definitely help the mobility of money, as online stores such as Flipkart, Amazon, generate crores of money every year and the lockdown affected the industry very badly, just like any other industry.
